Turning 30 ~ April 2010

I was pretty weirded-out by turning 30.  I don't know why, I just was.  So Jared, being the wonderful husband that he is, took me on a little mini vacation to celebrate.
We drove to Laguna and stayed the night at The Brisas.  Perfect little hotel with a huge jacuzzi tub in the room and across the street from the beach!
The next day, we headed down to San Diego to watch the Padres play on opening day.  Lucky for Jared, he can surprise me with a California-Baseball trip for MY birthday and still get all the benefits of an awesome trip for himself!  We were definitely meant to be together!!
The view from our balcony.

Our field seats for the game.

It was really cool experiencing all the festivities of opening day!

All the military people on the field before the game.  They were supposed to have a giant American flag cover the field but it started to rain and they had to hurry and put it away.

Doves were released before the National Anthem was sung by Colbie Caillat.  It was my favorite version of the song ever!  Click here to listen to the actual performance.  I get chills just listening to it again!

And to top off the trip and me turning the big 3-0, Jared had this message put up all over the stadium! "JENNY DAVIS IS THE PRETTIEST PADRES FAN EVER! HAPPY 30TH BABYCAKES"
(  glad he thinks so :)  )  It was such a fun surprise!

Thank you Jared, I love you!!!

To celebrate my birthday with the boys', they made me my favorite cake, German Chocolate.  YUM!!
Sporting their new Padres shirts that we brought back for them.

I guess even a hand mixer is too loud for Chase's super sensitive ears!

The whole reason they help with baking!

I've been wanting Jared to bake me a cake since we've been together and it finally happened!

Yeah, make sure you get all 30 candles on there!

Thank you boys!!  Best birthday cake EVER!!  I LOVE you!!

Thanks A Lot, Dad! ~ April 2010

Yep, Jared gave Chase his first fat lip.
Jared and Brody where play fighting and Chase got caught in the middle and got a kick straight to his mouth!

Super sad face, just to make Dad feel extra bad!

Working all the sympathy he can get!

Shark Reef & Serendipity's with the Aunts ~ April 2010

During Spring Break, Aunt Brittany, Aunt Lindy, Brody, Chase and myself headed to the strip.  Our first stop was to the Shark Reef.  No matter how many times we go, it is always one of the boys' favorite things to do!

Chase had to have the little speaker thing this time and he was actually listening and interested in it!

Waiting for some rays to swim by...

I always try to get pictures of these jellyfish and they never turn out, but this time they did!

So creepy and beautiful at the same time!

The boys picked out neon sharks at the gift shop.  Off to lunch!

Waiting for our table at Serendipity's.  I love Chase's little hands in this picture!  He looks so posed but this is just him :)

 "Mom, really with the flowers?"

Finally the good stuff, frozen hot chocolate!!

Chase was hooked!  He is such a sweets kinda guy!

 All to himself!

Chase's heaven!
I love that one is big enough for all 5 of us!
