Yummy!!

Chase is now eating real food! I cannot believe he is 4 months old and already at this messy milestone! Here he is with his first delicious bites! I forgot how awkward it is for them at first, not knowing how to eat from a spoon, but he is getting the hang of it.
Along with rolling over (back to belly), teething, babbling and making all kinds of noises, Chase is seriously growing up way too fast! Now if I could only get him to sleep through the night.....

I love his expression here, like, "What am I supposed to do with this!"

Bubbles & Grape Gatorade

This is one of my all-time favorite pictures so far of Chase!! I love how you can see all the cute little bubbles as he foams at the mouth from teething! And those irresistible cheeks...

I think the blue mustache really brings out Brody's eyes!!!!!!
A bit of advice...don't let your kid drink bright blue Gatorade straight from the bottle if you have to leave the house in the next 24 hours!!

Just Because

Here are some of my favorite recent pictures.
No special occasions, just our family, everyday!!
I love Brody's smile! This is when he is really laughing and just really happy!!

Our little man finally loves his bath!

Our rocker son with his tattoo!! He made this face all on his own for this one!

I cannot believe that Chase is 3 months old already and growing soo fast!

I love how Chase is so asleep right here, with his mouth wide open!

Poor Chase is teething, so this is what he looks like all the time! He already cut his first bottom tooth!!!

Brody is ready for summer in his flip flops, boardies, and backwards hat! What a stylish guy! He's growing up way too fast, too!!

Chase, zonked out and snuggly with his Daddy!

Summa, Summa, Summatime!!

The only way to survive the desert summers, is to spend it in the pool! This was our first trip of the season to my Mom's house. The water wasn't all that warm yet, but that didn't phase Brody! It took lots of bribing to get him out of the pool, even though he was shivering so bad he could barely talk :) His favorite Uncle Tyler and Aunt Lindy braved the cold water so he could have his fun!! They are the best!
Chillin' on the raft, soakin' in the rays!
His friendly turtle floaty that barely held him up!

Brody had never worn the arm floaties before so I wasn't sure how he would do with them. As you can see, he was fearless!!

Expressions

Chase was laying on my lap the other night, sleeping. When he woke up, he was making so many funny faces, I just had to get the camera!!

Sunday Morning at the Park

We have been playing baseball in the house with Brody a lot lately. He loves it and is getting really good! It's getting a bit crazy because he is really hitting and throwing the ball hard now, so Jared and I had to get him out into the open so he could really swing away!!Brody is a total lefty when it comes to sports but the only glove that we could find that fits him is a right handed glove, so it's a bit backwards looking! He will not play baseball without a glove so this one will have to make due until we find him a left handed glove!
Our little slugger!

We can't wait for him to be old enough to start playing on a real team.

It must be ladybug season since everyone has pictures of their little ones with them! Here is one that Brody found while hanging out at the park.

He was so eager to pick it up, I was shocked because he usually hates bugs!

Getting up close and personal with the ladybug. Check out those eyelashes!! I'm so jealous of them!

Mommy's Date

I took Brody out for a special day with just him and I the Friday before I went back to work. I was feeling bad for the poor guy since the whole time he had seen me for the past six weeks, I had Chase attached to me! We went to the Lied Discovery Museum and then to the Rain Forest Cafe for lunch. I don't have any pictures of the lunch because Brody was on sensory overload from everything going on in the restaurant, he wouldn't leave my side! It was so fun to get out and just have one-on-one time with him, he really deserved it. Brody has been such a huge help and is such a great son and brother. I really love spending time with him, he is so funny and charming! I love him sooo much!
Floating boats and splashing in the water
I love how his cheeks are all puffed out, blowing bubbles!

Making HUGE bubbles!

Sorting shapes

Playing drums

Touching a tornado!!

Shooting hoops, I couldn't get him away from this! He could barely see over the top, but made almost every shot!

The floating beach ball that he had to chase all over the place!

Urkel!!

Brody is such a goofball!! He is always doing something to make us laugh.
Jared and I were in the kitchen, getting things ready for bed. Brody walks up behind us and says, "Look guys!" We turn around and he has his pajama shorts pulled up as high as they can go! The both of us start cracking up which is exactly what Brody was going for! Brody starts laughing too and then says, "Watch me run!" He takes off laughing and running all over the house with his shorts like this! Jared and I could not believe this, we have never pulled his shorts up high and laughed about it so we didn't know how he would know, that this was so funny! We were laughing so hard that we were crying and had sore cheeks! Brody was so proud of himself for being such a comedian!
I have no idea where Brody comes up with this stuff but I love it!!!

Chase is 1 Month Old!

WOW!! I cannot believe that Chase has been with us for one month already! It feels like just yesterday he came into this world, but at the same time, it feels like we've had him forever. This has been one amazing month that has filled my family and I with so much thanks and happiness!
During this first month of Chase's life, we have learned this:
Chase is very mellow; he responds immediately to Brody's voice (looks for him whenever he hears him); he loves his sleep (thank goodness!!!! wakes up between 2 and 3 am and then not again until around 7am); HATES his bath and getting lotion put on; makes the sweetest sounds while he eats and falls asleep; takes a pacifier from Dad or Brody much easier than Mom ( he must know she has the "goods"); STILL has his umbilical cord (it's hanging on by only one little spot now); has the most animated expressions; spits up much more than Brody ever did (it seems that laundry has quadrupled because of this!); LOVES to have his head rubbed while he eats; burps like a man, it makes me jump at least twice a day; is so cuddly, just like his brother, and his favorite position to lay is on my chest ( this is what I will miss most, I think) and he eats like a champ, I can't wait to see how much weight he has gained!!!
We are so excited to see what the future holds for our family! One thing I'm most looking forward to is the relationship that Brody and Chase develop over the years, I'm sure they will be the best of friends and have a deep love for each other. We are so blessed!!!

I LOVE MY BOYS!!
